Just Good Stuff 4 You And Your Pets!

Some of you may know that one of our little dogs, Mr. Baby, has epilepsy. His seizures are usually triggered by reactions to chemicals, which means we have to be really careful about what kinds of cleaning products we use for our house, like floor cleaners and laundry soap,  as well as what shampoo we use to bathe him. He could react to anything. And we’ve tried numerous “natural” pet shampoo and soap products, but over and over again we haven’t really been happy with any of them; they tend to leave a sort of oily/greasy residue behind that dulls his fur and makes it limp and scraggly. Greasy fur kind of defeats the purpose of a bath, doesn’t it? I am thanking my lucky stars I came across a line of hand-made soaps, balms, lotions and other pure and nourishing products called Just Good Stuff. I’ll be telling you all about their non-toxic people products in the coming days, but I wanted to start by sharing how much I love their Pet Shampoo Bar. The ingredient list for the Pet Shampoo Bar is wonderful: Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil, Cocoa Butter, Mango Butter along with essential oils of Rosemary and Lavender.

There isn’t anything in it to cause a reaction with Mr. Baby, and the combination of  good stuff creates a  beautiful lather and rinses so clean! We didn’t need to use any type of rinse or conditioner for his coat to shine afterwards. Mr. Baby was left smelling so nice, with fluffy clean fur. After a long search for the perfect pet soap, we’ve found it. Whether you are looking for a chemical-free solution for your pets due to health issues, or just because you like the natural alternatives to mass market synthetic soaps and shampoos, you will love this amazing bar.

I’ll tell you a lot more about the women who hand craft Just Good Stuff, their inspiration and their incredible products in a separate post very soon. I just wanted  to share my total delight with the Pet Shampoo Bar because our pets deserve good stuff, too!!

We have 5 dogs…

We have 5 dogs, also a cat, a bird, a hedgehog and some chickens. As you can imagine we spend quite a bit to keep them all fed and happy.

Up till now, we bought our food from a regular retailer, but after this morning I think that may change. I used Mr. Chewy.com to buy dog food for my 3 indoor doggy babies and it was so easy. AND I got free shipping. The selection was fantastic. Since our  dogs usually  eat only all natural formulations, I was really pleased at how many options I had when I was browsing.  They have Science Diet,  Acana, Diamond, Dogswell, Holistic Select, Greenies and TONS more.  Over 70 brands actually. It’s a cinch you will find what you are looking for.

Prescription pet-foods as well as Flea and Tick solutions…you can even get potty pads there. Of course, they have treats and toys as well.

However there is one feature on Mr. Chewy that I really like and want to tell you about.  They have a refer your friends program set up that enables you to save your friends some money via a 10% discount for first time customers, which is nice of them, but, the GREAT part is each time a referred pal makes a purchase they will donate$10.00 to a charity you choose! I LOVE that!!

You can find them on TWITTER and on FACEBOOK to stay up to date.

I feel really good feeding our pets Hill’s Science Diet.  You can go to here to find out more about Hill’s Pet Nutrition and even use their Ask A Vet area to get the answers you need about your pets!
