that’s funny, I damn sure don’t want a plumber doing my sheetrock! And I don’t want a sheetrock guy doing my plumbing…oh darn I wrote this before I heard you say it…
You charge for water heater more than $1,600? That's a highway robbery. Water heater cost around $400-500. I change it myself and it's not a big deal. You have two pipes hot and cold, and electrical or gas line. Everything is there for you. Just disconnect everything and connect it to new water heater. Water supplie is there, gas line is there, electrical line is there. I never understood why plumbers charge so much money. It's not rocket science.
450.00 is the price for a cadet by AS
Yelp sucks it charges you for clicks and can not prove the amount of clicks they said I had i had 1800 clicks but the 5 jobs I got calls for not 1 clicked yelp to get my number they got it from other customers dont waste your cash on yelp
The public education system in this country is in rough shape.
I don’t really get some of these prices. I installed my own toilet and replaced the floor drain because it was loose and broke. Some pvc glue and 30min later i was done total cost $150 for the toilet and $15 for the 30 min. Because thats what i make $30 a hour so. $145 i was said and done. Idk how you can think $135 is not enough install a toilet
Come on Man I as a handyman try my best on simple things and avoid attempting things that require professionals btw my step dad is a licensed plumber anyway so ill just ask him to do it
Not just if you're 'a plumber'
but if you're a fucking customer… Don't just sit and watch people destroy your house.
I work for a locksmith company. My boss is up on all of our reviews and contacts the customer.
I feel like plumbing in the US is very expensive!
A lot of these are bad service but judging by the grammar of a lot of these it might be the customer's misunderstanding.
You don't call a plumber to fix a leaking roof, that's why I don't understand how trump won back in 2016
Residential service contractors are terrible at educating their clients as to the actual cost of doing Quality service. Service contractors need to have a dedicated page on their website unapologetically explaining the cost of business.
thanks to you I've learned to understand this kind of pricing. anyone can install a pipe but not everyone can do it properly.
6:57 plumber probably said it's not worth the price to replace it or fix it .
I c u with that mr beast text
Most people are willing to pay the high price if the job is done properly. Bonus if done right and nothing gets damaged.
I think you didn’t take that fact that customers will exaggerate on their reviews. As a service man you should know there is always two side of the story.
What A.C. costs 17000 grand?
We had two plumbers come out for a leaky pipe, they cut holes all over the wall, then spent hours repairing a 9 dollar piece of pipe. They kept saying they couldn’t get all the water out of the system and that they couldn’t weld or solder the new pipe, they spent hours saying that bs.
After they left I went to use the bathroom and notice there was no water in the toilet. I turn the valve to the water and water sprays everywhere. I call the owner n say hey your guys broke the water valve, he says nah maybe it was old. I had to call a second plumber n he told me they busted the hose and pay another 80 on top of the 345 the first plumbers. I look at the receipt they charged 9 dollars for materials and the rest was labor and taxes.
LOL you called a plumber for an AC unit? or you called a CONTRACTOR? who all they do is put stuff in, of course they are gonna recommend replacement lol call the right guy for the job, as they say?
Yelp is not trust worthy
I work at plumbing supply warehouse here in Ohio. I fill orders and triple check for accuracy. Then I load tools/parts into the plumbers vans. This has lead to plumbers asking for me by name now my workload has tripled. Will they ever allow other employees handle their orders or will I get my wheels ran off till I retire?
I do tree services ( cutting, planting, maintenance etc) We once got a bad review because the people were mad we didnt plant mature maple trees in their yard even though they came and picked out the saplings the day before.
All in all customers don't understand plumbing & our hard work though we do need to communicate
Lv.4 dry wall finish. Has plumber do drywall = lv.5? Lmao
I found a dead mouse with its feces spewing out of my toilet when I flushed. That’s a good thing, right?
Hey I love your background
A good rule of thumb is if you'd punch another guy for saying that to your wife then you shouldn't say it either.
Ok. That reply at 15:58 was priceless! I get that is NOT a professional way to reply, but that is a HILARIOUS reply to a guy who clearly doesn't value his wife.
Plot Twist: He is reading his own Yelp reviews.
When I get a customer review it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, probably even if I had a 1 star because then I can show that customer how much I care about the job that I do on their electronics. so far no 1 stars and all happy customers so far, even tho I opened less than a year ago (yeah right before covid) I know that every interaction even phone calls are an opportunity for me to earn people's trust and satisfaction from a good job.
Having a dolly is not that much to get, more so if you're business is a matter of removing something large and heavy. When there can be better gear you can have for this, a dolly is the most basic item that saves you dividends if you need to carry a lot of weight often enough.
this is why i don't do service. new construction all the way.
Hella put Jose on blast…lmaoo
Yelp is a scam. Their business model is to twist the arm of companies to pay for subscription through fake bad reviews as far as I heard.
I can get a new toilet for 49.99 at big box. Putting it in for $10.00 a hour 80 day pay then replace tomorrow.
The only thing that will make some people happy is if you did the work for free. If it is not done for free, they will always find something to complain about. Great video man!
it's the same in the IT Service industry most customers don't know or realise how hard it is to diagnose a problem and they pay for the knowledge and training we have to go through
139 toilet install is insanw. I have the best price plumber in my area. In a small town. They charge me 240 to install a new toilet. They let me buy the parts. I have literally used them for over 15 years for plumbing and HVAC.
