Zeno Line Rewind Wrinkle Reduction Kit – Review

So I am pushing against 40. Not really hard, maybe more like nudging. I  really don’t mind getting older, in fact, I enjoy the new perspective I have gained as the years have added up. But that is my mind, as for my skin?  I don’t like my wrinkles, and having to pull my eyelids tight when I put on eyeliner. If something promises me a chance to tighten my skin, smooth it out and give me the complexion of a 20 year old, I’m like “OKAY!! YES! I WANT TO TRY IT!”

I was pleased to receive a Zeno Line Rewind Wrinkle Reduction Kit from BeautyStat to review.
It gets points for being packaged in pink:)

So the basic idea of this device is that the LINE REWIND attacks fine lines and wrinkles with heat, vibration and red light technology. It delivers an immediate effect, using optical diffusers that instantly diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as delivering long-term results. Line Rewind  is a gentle two-part system that is non-invasive, dermatologist recommended and  effective. It includes the Wrinkle Reduction Serum and a hand-held vibrating device with soothing heat and red LED (Light Emitted Diode) technology.

The actual device is small and fits comfortably in your hand. After washing your face, you apply the Wrinkle Reduction Serum to the area you want to treat. You turn the unit on by tapping  it on the side panel once, firmly. It will light up, begin to vibrate, and it gently heats up. Massage the Line Rewind over your skin in soft massaging circles and continue until serum is absorbed. It feels really nice, the heat and vibration being both soothing and relaxing. Good  for “me” time. To turn it off, tap the side panel twice firmly.

The Wrinkle Reduction Serum is very lightweight with a fresh feeling when you apply to your skin. After the treatment you leave it on. My make up goes on smoothly right over the top. No pilling or flaking.

I have been using this device, each evening, for about three weeks. After the first use, you will notice a nice glow to your skin, I think from the massage and heat, bringing blood flow up closer to the surface of your skin. I was told my face looked “brighter”. Thank you. So far, I think that the fine “crow’s feet” near my outer eyes, have softened somewhat. Also, the slight “feathery” lines around my upper lip have improved, I notice this as I apply my lipliner.

The price, $39.99 seems pretty reasonable. It is awfully relaxing, and has a sort of “spa” feeling to it.
I will keep using this. You can find more information here.  Zeno has some neat products, and I feel good recommending the Line Rewind.

I was provided with a Zeno Line Rewind Wrinkle Reduction kit to review.

Do you have some old kid friendly DVDs lying around?

When your kids outgrow some of their movies on DVD, what do you do with them?
Are they gathering dust on your media shelf?
Kidflicks.org  was started by four sisters in 2002. They want a “movie library” of at least 100 movies, in as many hospitals as possible. They had a friend being treated for Leukemia, and took her movies to help pass the time.  As of March 29, 2011 Kid Flicks has donated 57,700 movies to 577 different hospitals throughout the United States and South Africa. Wow!
Consider donating your unwatched films.

Fascinating! A Hidden Message.

I first heard this as an audio sermon on tape, many years ago. It is one of my favorite mini studies, and I think if you will take a few moments to read this, you will be glad you did! I love Chuck Missler and the way he helps God’s word come alive as he points out, in a fresh way, how relevant the Bible is to the world around us. Thanks to KHouse for letting me post this incredible gem, in article form, for you to enjoy!

We frequently use the familiar term, gospel, or good news. Where is the first place it appears in the Bible? The answer may surprise you.
An Integrated Message
The great discovery is that the Bible is a message system: it’s not simply 66 books penned by 40 authors over thousands of years, the Bible is an integrated whole which bears evidence of supernatural engineering in every detail.

The Jewish rabbis have a quaint way of expressing this very idea: they say that they will not understand the Scriptures until the Messiah comes. But when He comes, He will not only interpret each of the passages for us, He will interpret the very words; He will even interpret the very letters themselves; in fact, He will even interpret the spaces between the letters!
When I first heard this, I simply dismissed this as a colorful exaggeration. Until I reread Matthew 5:17 and 18:

“Think not that I have come to destroy the Torah and the prophets; I have not come to destroy but to fulfill.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

(A jot and tittle are the Hebrew equivalent of our dotting an i and the crossing of a t.)
An Example
A remarkable example of this can be glimpsed in Genesis Chapter 5, where we have the genealogy of Adam through Noah. This is one of those chapters which we often tend to skim over quickly as we pass through Genesis it’s simply a genealogy from Adam to Noah.
But God always rewards the diligent student. Let’s examine this chapter more closely.
In our Bible, we read the Hebrew names. What do these names mean in English?
A Study of Original Roots
The meaning of proper names can be a difficult pursuit since a direct translation is often not readily available. Even a conventional Hebrew lexicon can prove disappointing. A study of the original roots, however, can yield some fascinating insights.
(A caveat: many study aids, such as a conventional lexicon, can prove rather superficial when dealing with proper nouns. Furthermore, views concerning the meanings of original roots are not free of controversy and variant readings.)
Let’s take an example.
The Flood Judgment
Methuselah comes from muth, a root that means “death”;1 and from shalach, which means to bring, or to send forth. The name Methuselah means, “his death shall bring”.2
Methuselah’s father was given a prophecy of the coming Great Flood, and was apparently told that as long as his son was alive, the judgment of the flood would be withheld; but as soon as he died, the flood would be brought or sent forth.
(Can you imagine raising a kid like that? Every time the boy caught a cold, the entire neighborhood must have panicked!)
And, indeed, the year that Methuselah died, the flood came.3
It is interesting that Methuselah’s life, in effect, was a symbol of God’s mercy in forestalling the coming judgment of the flood.
Therefore, it is fitting that his lifetime is the oldest in the Bible, speaking of the extensiveness of God’s mercy.
The Other Names
If there is such significance in Methuselah’s name, let’s examine the other names to see what may lie behind them.
Adam’s name means man. As the first man, that seems straight forward enough.
Adam’s son was named Seth, which means appointed. Eve said, “For God hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.4
Seth’s son was called Enosh, which means mortal, frail, or miserable. It is from the root anash, to be incurable, used of a wound, grief, woe, sickness, or wickedness.
It was in the days of Enosh that men began to defile the name of the Living God.5
Enosh’s son was named Kenan, which can mean sorrow, dirge, or elegy. (The precise denotation is somewhat elusive; some study aids unfortunately presume that Kenan is synonymous with Cainan.)
Balaam, looking down from the heights of Moab, uses a pun upon the name of the Kenites when he prophesies their destruction.6
We have no real idea as to why these names were chosen for their children. Often they may have referred to circumstances at birth, and so on.
Kenan’s son was Mahalalel, from Mahalal which means blessed or praise; and El, the name for God. Thus, Mahalalel means the Blessed God. Often Hebrew names include El, the name of God, as Dan-i-el, “God is my Judge”, etc.
Mahalalel’s son was named Jared, from the verb yaradh, meaning shall come down.7
Jared’s son was named Enoch, which means teaching, or commencement. He was the first of four generations of preachers. In fact, the earliest recorded prophecy was by Enoch, which amazingly enough deals with the Second Coming of Christ (although it is quoted in the Book of Jude in the New Testament):
Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, “Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against.”

Jude 14, 15

Enoch was the father of Methuselah, who we have already mentioned. Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah.8 Apparently, Enoch received the prophecy of the Great Flood, and was told that as long as his son was alive, the judgment of the flood would be withheld. The year that Methuselah died, the flood came.
Enoch, of course, never died: he was translated 9 (or, if you’ll excuse the expression, raptured ). That’s how Methuselah can be the oldest man in the Bible, yet he died before his father!
Methuselah’s son was named Lamech, a root still evident today in our own English word, lament or lamentation. Lamech suggests despairing.
(This name is also linked to the Lamech in Cain’s line who inadvertently killed his son Tubal-Cain in a hunting incident.10)
Lamech, of course, is the father of Noah, which is derived from nacham, to bring relief or comfort, as Lamech himself explains in Genesis 5:29.
The Composite List
Now let’s put it all together:

Hebrew English
Adam Man
Seth Appointed
Enosh Mortal
Kenan Sorrow;
Mahalalel The Blessed God
Jared Shall come down
Enoch Teaching
Methuselah His death shall bring
Lamech The Despairing
Noah Rest, or comfort.

That’s rather remarkable:
Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.
Here’s the Gospel hidden within a genealogy in Genesis!
(You will never convince me that a group of Jewish rabbis conspired to hide the Christian Gospel right here in a genealogy within their venerated Torah!)
Evidence of Design
The implications of this discovery are more wide spread than is evident at first glance.
It demonstrates that in the earliest chapters of the Book of Genesis, God had already laid out His plan of redemption for the predicament of mankind. It is a love story, written in blood on a wooden cross which was erected in Judea almost 2,000 years ago.
The Bible is an integrated message system, the product of supernatural engineering. Every number, every place name, every detail every jot and tittle is there for our learning, our discovery, and our amazement. Truly, our God is an awesome God.
It is astonishing to discover how many Biblical controversies seem to evaporate if one simply recognized the unity the integrity of these 66 books, penned by 40 authors over thousands of years.
It is remarkable how many subtle discoveries lie behind the little details of the text. Some of these become immediately obvious with a little study; some are more technical and require special helps.
Many of these discoveries are described in our Audio Book, Beyond Coincidence. Several are also highlighted in our Audio Book, The Creator Beyond Time and Space.
Look behind every detail: there’s a discovery to be made! God always rewards the diligent student. What other messages lay hidden behind the names in the Bible? Check it out.

Yanni- Truth of Touch

I have spent the last three hours just floating. Thanks to the One2One Network I was given the opportunity to review Yanni’s first instrumental release of original compositions in over eight years, titled  Truth Of Touch.

Although this album is playful in a way I haven’t heard before from Yanni, it is definitely his unique, distinctive style, “as we know him.” I found myself with my hands hovering over the keyboard, no idea what I had been about to type, as this beautiful music just washed over me. The title track, is the perfect song to invite you in. Upbeat and happy, it leaves you ready to hear more. My favorite is track number 7, titled Nine. It goes from sensual to vibrant to a softer mellow tone, then  becomes smokey and intense. I don’t know of course, what was in Yanni’s  mind as he composed this piece, but it felt like the ebb and flow of my marriage, over all the years together with my husband. Since the twentieth anniversary of the day my husband and I  met is coming up in April, things like this are on my mind. Nine is a beautiful expression, to me, of the ups and downs of a long relationship. It can be hard, but intensely romantic. Track 5,  Flash of Color, is a spicy song that makes me want to get on a plane, dash off to an island paradise and dance on the beach with the sunset turning the sand a deep red.
The music in this collection isn’t going to make you drift off to sleep. It has a great energy, and may even make doing the dishes, fun.
I am so happy I got a chance to review Truth of Touch. This is probably one of my favorite albums by Yanni, except for his In the Mirror.

If you are a fan of Yanni you need this album in your collection, if you haven’t really listened to him before, now is a great time to experience his music. You can find more information at the Official Yanni website, as well as information about his 40 date tour, that kicked off March 22.

That is from their website.
Now, my take.
First, it is small and easy to handle. The lipo cream that was included is a really nice product, good smell, good texture. I have used this eight days in a row so far, and each time I am amazed at how easy and, get this, soothing it is! I am using a medium setting and figure I will work up to a higher setting gradually.
The spinning rollers have an even, soft action, and I just roll it over the treatment area, without pressure, for a total of about 15 minutes. then i turn the unit off and in the evening target a different  trouble spot.
I am even using this on my underarm area. I haven’t seen any radical changes, and am not expecting it to work like that.
What I have noticed, and checked and double checked in natural light in my bathroom, is that my underarms ARE definitely firmer looking, and less dimpled ALREADY. Now, the problem in this area isn’t severe, and I have been doing my arm toning exercises, but still, I am seeing RESULTS!  I can’t say why it looks better, is it really this device? I am leaning in that direction because I didn’t change anything else. So I am totally committed to continuing to use this on my BAD areas, my sit-downer, my stomach and my thighs. Areas which I don’t see a change in yet.
The instructions give a 4-6 week window to see results, so I will update you on my progress in about 3 weeks or so.

Make money at home, just for talking!

I  made a friend of mine $5.00 just by talking! No, this isn’t a home biz opportunity.
I just tend to be a little chatty, and “R” decided to capitalize on it.
I called her the other day, to see how she was doing after a appointment with her Doc. She asked me to hold on for a minute and then we talked about her visit and next steps.
After we caught up on her, she asked how my dog was feeling (story here).
So I started telling her about how he has gained some weight and how funny it looks, and how his harness is snug. I explained that when the dogs hear his meds bottle rattle, they all race pell-mell to the kitchen for a treat, because Mr.Baby gets his pill in a little bit of turkey or chicken, and my other dogs know they will get a little tid-bit, too. Of course, that reminded me of how funny it was when my husband went to get an Advil and all the dogs charged into the bedroom, skidding along the floor, thinking it was yummy time.
Then, of course, I had to share about hub being upset in the shower. It seems we were out of shampoo, and being a guy, rather than getting out and getting a new bottle from under the sink, he decided that bodywash wasn’t that different. So he squirted my wash over his head only to find out he was covered in oil. I had refilled an empty bottle with my homemade shave oil (ask me, it is really nice) and him no happy. I also told her about my the status of my eyebrow (don’t talk on the phone while waxing)–it has almost grown back in.
I had just started telling her about a recipe I found, when I hear her whooping in the background.
It seems that her brother in law was there and she bet him $5.00 she could put the phone down and I could talk for at least 5 minutes non-stop, with out any input from her. She won.
Me- “So, let me get this straight…you didn’t hear anything I said?” R- “Well, no. But, I’ll take you to lunch at Panda Express…”
Me- “OK, but you realize I have to start all over now, right?”
R- “I know sweetsy, I have my coffee, and my feet are up…so tell me about  Mr. Baby.”
So I did.
